Paintings of People
We lost Denny all too soon. He was a good soul, kind to all, and he made me feel at home and welcome during some difficult times. I was inspired to paint this image by a photograph of Denny taken by his nephew, Christopher Buckley Wolff. I sometimes enjoy using my watercolors on canvas surfaces, which tends to be more unpredictable and often results in greater textural qualities. This painting of Denny represents one way I honor and remember someone dear who has left us. Studying a person's features and expressions helps to embed their face and their memory in my heart. This piece was SOLD.
