One of the classes I teach requested to learn how to paint crashing waves with their watercolors. I love this example of roiling water, coming into the warm sand. I used a permanent marker to sketch it in front of my class, then decided it was worth finishing. For me, the colors and values do so much to describe the power of the water, as the sky softens into the background. This piece is available - $250 unframed.
