I recently taught a class where each student was invited to bring an image to paint, an image of a place that speaks to their heart. Not surprisingly, Split Rock Lighthouse on the North Shore of Lake Superior was one student's special place. This piece started as a demonstration for the class; I later finished it, letting it move in slightly less-than-realistic directions. It was fun to imagine the lake rolling up the rocks to merge with the lighthouse. This piece is available - $325 unframed.
