For several years I attended a North Shore Watercolor workshop in the fall. Hosted at Cove Point, I reveled in the surrounding beauty of the land and "sea" scapes. This piece was painted en plein air; I left my fellow classmates behind and shivered outside as I painted. So when I look at it, I can feel the cold breeze and sense the air and the smell of the north shore. That's one of the gifts of painting outside, on site - it captures those senses for the future!
